Mono Low Fi Stutter

The Mono Low Fi Stutter is a simple Photocoupler based circuit I created with the intention of recreating the extreme tremolo sound of the effect used on the song “Shit Sisters” by These Arms Are Snakes. Paired with the Digitech Whammy it gets pretty close to achieving that effect. This is not a tremolo for use on a clean signal as there is a slight negotiable noise, but add it on to a digital effect such as the digitech whammy and it really sings. It also adds a modulation effect to fuzzes and the like.

The rate of the stutter can be controlled by the inbuilt pot or the use of an expression pedal.

I recommend also picking up the Johnny Five 3PDT footswitch to compliment this project and provide the LED power indicator function.
